Submission Process

The process for getting published with Black Stallion is rigorous as this magazine seeks to present the community’s most refined and dignified works. Black Stallion wishes to provide a space where aspiring authors can put their work under the scrutinizing and keen eyes of publishing houses and literary agents. We accept Poetry, Prose, and Artwork for publication. All submissions will be reviewed if they adhere to the given guidelines. All submissions will be sent for review to: Blackstallionpublishing@gmail.com.
Guidelines:
Poetry and Prose:
- Submit your short story or poem in Times New Roman, 12 pt font, double spaced, with 1 inch margins. We only accept .docx or .pdf file types send your text as a file or it will not be reviewed.
- Prose has a minimum word count of 1000 words and a maximum word count of 8000 words
- Poetry must have it’s title, if it has one, in bold and underlined. Each poem must start on a new page. There is a maximum of 15 pages per submission.
- All submissions must be previously unpublished
Artwork:
- Artwork with shadows or bad lighting will not be accepted
